The House Project brightens lives in Nagaland, India

In invisible areas such as certain parts of Nagaland, a state in northeastern India, The House Project supports the care of children rescued from human trafficking or situations of extreme vulnerability.

Nearly 83% of missing persons in Nagaland are children from rural areas and are victims of trafficking, according to 2023 studies by Gahuati University, India.  Lack of education and opportunities, coupled with conflict and displacement, fuel this terrible problem in Nagaland, especially near the Myanmar border. In addition, other children in the area live in extremely vulnerable situations.

We are committed to supporting these children who arrived with physical illnesses and a very deteriorated emotional state, but in the shelter we support, they are recovering their lives. They have a safe place to live, eat nutritious food, have access to water, attend school going in a reliable vehicle that we recently sponsored and receive constant  support, to overcome the traumatic experiences they have lived through.

However, they need much more and there are still hundreds of children in this area who need to regain their freedom, to be happy, to be protected and to re-establish their lives.

We invite you to join us in our mission to give them a better present and a future full of opportunities. Join us now.
